VOLLEYBALL: Princeton, Lakewood share Carolina 1A crown

SALEMBURG -- Lakewood won three of the final four sets and earned a share of the Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season title with a 27-29, 25-23, 25-15, 23-25, 15-11 victory over Princeton.
Daisey Eklund led the Bulldogs' charge with 25 kills and six blocks. Kortney Edwards had eight kills. Emily Ricks and Leah Narron contributed five kills apiece. Erika Hines had three kills.
Beth Braswell passed out 43 assists.
Princeton (16-4 overall, 12-2 CC) begins defense of its eastern regional championship in the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs on Wednesday. The Association has not released the pairings.
