VOLLEYBALL: Wayne Christian continues to roll along

WILSON -- Wayne Christian extended its win streak to eight matches and remained unbeaten in Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference play with a 25-11, 25-18, 25-14 conquest of Community Christian on Thursday evening.
Hannah Sladick collected 11 kills and two aces. Ashlee Harrelson recorded four kills and five aces. Mercy Wright supplied five kills. Holly Gurley and Sarah Sawyer posted six digs and four aces, respectively.
Kasey Norris handed out 26 assists.
Wayne Christian (13-1 overall, 4-0 CPIC) travels to Greenfield today.
