GREENVILLE, S.C. -- University of Mount Olive junior Adam Craig emerged as the top non-Division I individual and placed second overall during the Furman Invitational contested Saturday morning.

Craig ran the 8k course in 24 minutes, 41.12 seconds -- the fourth-fastest 8k mark in program history.

Junior Jonathan Dalhke emerged as the second-place finisher among non-Division I runners with a time of 24:56.21. Teammate Pol Domenech claimed 10th in 26:00.26. Seniors Jacob Urys and Fredric Lang ended up among the top 17.

UMO won its third meet in its last four outings.

On the women's side, freshman Leah Hanle captured 11th place among Division II competitors with a time of 23:00.56. Fellow freshman Meredith Lorient claimed 23rd in the non-DII field with a time of 23:25.48.

Kelsey Valentine ended up 30th.

The Trojans return to action Sept. 17 in the Kutztown (Pa.) Invitational.

Men's soccer

AIKEN, S.C. -- Adria Dalmau tallied the game-winning goal in the 74th minute, lifting USCAiken past University of Mount Olive, 1-0, on Saturday evening.

The Trojans (0-3-0 overall) suffered their third consecutive one-goal loss of the season.

USCA owned a 9-7 edge in shots. UMOgoalie Nick Bernsdorf logged three saves between the pipes.

The teams combined for 32 fouls.
