VOLLEYBALL: EW's Jackson sets school record against Hawks

La GRANGE -- Alyssa Jackson recorded a career-best and single-game school-record .909 hitting percentage as Eastern Wayne remained unbeaten in three outings with a 25-17, 25-17, 25-17 conquest of North Lenoir inside Wooten Gymnasium on Thursday afternoon.
Jackson logged 10 kills on 11 attempts with one error.
Emily Newsome, Kaitlyn Peedin-Rouse and Jennifer Sparks supplied five kills apiece.
The Warriors served 16 aces as a team, including eight from Newsome and four from junior Naomi Williams. Sparks emerged as the defensive leader with eight digs.
