Goldsboro clinches ECC 2A girls' soccer crown outright

Angelina Nacca notched two goals and Goldsboro claimed the 2016 Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference regular-season championship outright with a 7-1 victory over Greene Central on Friday evening.
It's the second league crown in program history. The Cougars shared the Carolina 1-A Conference title with Princeton and Rosewood in 2011.
McKayla Roberts, Tziah Kelly, Melissa Cox, Anna Prezbindowski and Shakia Doctor provided one goal apiece. Roberts dished out two assists.
Goldsboro (11-4-2 overall, 6-2-0 ECC) opens the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs at home Wednesday.
