Angelina Nacca notched two goals and Goldsboro claimed the 2016 Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference regular-season championship outright with a 7-1 victory over Greene Central on Friday evening.

It's the second league crown in program history. The Cougars shared the Carolina 1-A Conference title with Princeton and Rosewood in 2011.

McKayla Roberts, Tziah Kelly, Melissa Cox, Anna Prezbindowski and Shakia Doctor provided one goal apiece. Roberts dished out two assists.

Goldsboro (11-4-2 overall, 6-2-0 ECC) opens the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs at home Wednesday.
