Gators battle from behind in Calypso

CALYPSO -- Playoff-bound Spring Creek concluded regular-season play with a come-from-behind, 3-2 victory over Carolina 1-A Conference foe North Duplin on Friday evening.
Levi Miller batted 2-for-3 and drove in a run for the Gators, who logged a 13-1 worksheet against league opposition this spring. Hunter Walker, Scott Edmundson and Will Rouse delivered one hit apiece.
Walker earned the mound win -- a complete-game, five-hit effort that included 10 strikeouts.
Ethan Brock paced the Rebels' offense with two hits. Colby Bass, Dylan Jones and Caleb Cashwell each ended the night 1-for-3 at the plate.
Ricky Cameron absorbed the pitching loss despite scattering five hits and logging seven strikeouts in a complete-game performance of his own.
North Duplin led 2-0 after two innings. Spring Creek (16-6 overall) pulled to within 2-1 in the top half of the third, and pushed across two fifth-inning runs which ultimately sealed the outcome.
