Faith Christian prevails on senior day

Alex Watson hurled a complete game and Faith Christian celebrated senior day with an 8-3 conquest of Raleigh Friendship Christian on the N.C. Christian Schools Association 2-A scene Tuesday afternoon.
Watson retired six Friendship batters on strikeouts and walked one. The visitors' three runs came in the top of the seventh with one out. Offensively, Watson batted 2-for-4 at the plate.
Jordan Hill went 1-for-1 and scored a run for the Conquerors. Seniors David Parrish and Christian Mills each crossed the plate. Cal Reese and Dylan Downey (RBI) provided one hit apiece.
Faith Christian (4-8 overall, 2-6 NCCSA 2-A District 4) concludes regular-season play next Monday at Wilson Christian Academy.
