BASEBALL: North Lenoir tops Greene Central

La GRANGE -- North Lenoir pitcher Reed Parris went the distance and limited Greene Central to three hits during a 5-1 victory in Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference play Friday evening.
Parris logged seven strikeouts.
Zach Turner and Drew Rogers banged out three hits apiece for the Hawks, who rose to 2-0 against ECC opposition this season. Joseph Harrison and Braxton Greene each provided one hit.
Tyler Horner, Don Pigford and Jalen Carmon each had one hit for the Rams. Wade endured the pitching loss.
North Lenoir (6-6 overall) visits Ayden-Grifton next Tuesday, while Greene Central (4-11, 0-2) is the guest of Kinston on Monday.
