South Lenoir breaks away from Goldsboro in 2nd inning

South Lenoir erupted for nine second-inning runs and cruised past Goldsboro, 13-2, in non-conference action Monday evening.
Maurice Stokes emerged as the Cougars' top offensive performer with two hits. Chandler Patrick supplied one hit.
GHS head coach Danny Merritt said that catcher "Timmy Vick had another outstanding defensive game."
