Spring Creek squeezes out 8-inning win

NEWTON GROVE -- Spring Creek rallied from a late-inning, one-run deficit to defeat Carolina 1-A Conference foe Hobbton, 10-7.
Sawyer Smith (RBI), Kaden Geelen (RBI), Will Rouse, Casey Whitfield (RBI), Kane Geelen (RBI), Matthew Dupuy (RBI) and Landon Smothers (RBI) contributed one hit apiece.
Rouse started on the mound and permitted six runs on 11 hits and two walks. He posted two strikeouts. Smith claimed the pitching win with two innings of one-hit, five-strikeout relief.
