Langley Barnes punched in two goals as Wayne Country Day dumped Ahoskie Ridgecroft, 2-0, on Thursday afternoon.
Barnes scored on Allison Bailey's first-half corner kick and on Kathryn Hamilton's assist outside the 18-yard box in the second half.
"It was a nice win for us tonight, we dominated and most importantly worked as a team to get the result," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We had three important players missing tonight and really came together for the win. A few players playing in a different position and a different formation, and the girls worked hard to get the result we needed."
