Goldsboro drops baseball opener to Hobbton

Jonathan Stevens and Tommy Vick posted one hit apiece during Goldsboro's season-opening, 14-0 mercy-rule loss to Hobbton on Monday afternoon.
Hobbton hurler Jackson McLamb tossed a two-hitter and logged 11 strikeouts in the five-inning win.
The Wildcats plated 14 runs on four hits and six errors.
Goldsboro (0-1 overall) is the guest of Princeton today.
