Golden Falcons net season-opening win over Rosewood

Charles B. Aycock's tandem of Nick Coston-Matthew Hare prevailed 8-6 at No. 1 doubles and turned back Rosewood, 5-4, in the season-opening match for both teams on Monday afternoon.
Jeremy Lintner, Lucas Parrish and Collin Pendegraph each emerged victorious in singles play for the Eagles. Pendegraph-Chase Barlett won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles.
CBA's No. 3 doubles of Logan Edenfield-Keenan Smith tied the match at 4-all with an 8-1 victory. The Golden Falcons picked up singles wins from three freshmen -- Jonas Creel, freshman Nolan Casey and freshman Payne Casey.
Rosewood (0-1 overall) entertains Franklin Academy today, while C.B. Aycock (1-0) plays host to Southern Wayne on Thursday.
