* Boys' basketball: Wake Forest Lighthouse 47, Goldsboro Heat 44 (OT) -- Harman Kaler forced the overtime with a game-tying 3-pointer and ended the game with a double-double -- 13 points, 10 rebounds. Christian Yarbrough contributed 11 points, four assists and three blocked shots. Goldsboro (1-6 overall) play host to Wayne Christian on Tuesday.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Wake Forest Lighthouse 29, Goldsboro Heat 25 -- Ben Daniels recorded a double-double -- 10 points, 11 rebounds -- for the Heat. Hayden Portela contributed 15 points and grabbed four steals. The Heat (2-2 overall) return to action Tuesday against Wayne Christian.
