Wayne Christian, Neuse Christian boys stage shootout

Wayne Christian held a three-point lead after one quarter, but Neuse Christian eventually claimed a 117-91 victory in Carolina Christian 1-A Conference play Friday evening.
Ty McClain led the Eagles with a season-high 41 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Rashawn Wellington delivered 19 points, five rebounds and two steals.
Osi Amaefule chipped in 15 points. Darian Oates provided nine points, three rebounds and two assists.
Wayne Christian (8-8 overall, 3-4 CCC) faces Goldsboro Heat next Thursday.
