Mercer torches Leopards' defense for 38 points

SALEMBURG -- Lexi Mercer torched the nets for 38 points in a 73-61 triumph over Lakewood in Carolina 1-A Conference action Tuesday evening.
Mercer made all five 3-point attempts, shot 11 of 12 from the free throw line, snared eight rebounds, picked the Leopards for five steals and dished out four assists.
Jala Holloman registered 13 points, five assists and three steals. Nekia Williams posted 10 points and five rebounds.
The Eagles (8-3 overall, 3-0 CC) entertain Spring Creek today.
