Kenan converts last-second, game-winning shot

WARSAW -- James Kenan converted the winning basket in the closing seconds of regulation and turned back Princeton, 44-43, in the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams Tuesday evening.
"(Am) very proud of my team," PHS head coach Marty Gurganus said. "We played very well at times and put ourself in a position to win. We've got to give James Kenan credit for making a big shot at the end of the game."
Jazmaine McCain posted a double-double -- 15 points, 12 rebounds. Chelsea Hawley just missed a double-double with nine points and 10 assists.
The Bulldogs (3-4 overall) plays host to Neuse Charter on Thursday.
