* Volleyball: Rosewood d. Spring Creek 21-25, 25-20, 25-23 -- Toree Marak posted a team-high five kills, two blocks, two service aces and picked up one dig. Jala Holloman contributed four kills, two aces and one dig. Maddie Honn recorded two kills, two assists, one ace and one dig. The Eagles (10-6 overall) improved to 7-3 in Carolina 1-A Conference play.
Middle schools
* Football: Mount Olive 52, Greenwood 16 -- Devona Faison, Jeremiah Anderson, Jamari Leach, Jalen Thompson and Jerome Moore all had rushing touchdowns for the Chargers. Ja'shon Pridgen caught a TD pass from Faison. Defensively, Leach and Robert Stone each recovered a fumble. Austin Espinoza picked off a Greenwood pass. Mount Olive (4-1 overall) plays host to Eastern Wayne next Thursday.
* Boys' soccer: Rosewood 3, Grantham 1 -- Hayden Maldonado, Giovanni Nacca and Logan Mitchell each punched in a goal for the Eagles. Caleb Reyes and Patrick Jones each contributed an assist. Lukas Gregory collected Grantham's lone goal. Rosewood (4-5-0 overall) visits Greenwood on Monday.
* Volleyball: Grantham d. Rosewood 16-25, 15-25, 25-15, 25-20, 15-11 -- Rylee Myers served six aces and recorded two kills for Rosewood. The Eagles (7-4 overall) are the guests of Greenwood on Monday.
