Stallworth's 4th-quarter TD lifts Princeton

PRINCETON -- Matt Stallworth's 13-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown run lifted Princeton past Hobbton, 15-6, in their Carolina 1-A Conference game contested at Harvey Brooks Field on Friday evening.
Stallworth ended the night with 72 yards on 17 carries.
Earl Gibson Jr., who led the Bulldogs with a 123-yard rushing effort, put Princeton on the board with a game-tying 46-yard TD gallop in the third quarter. Gibson ran in the two-point conversion to put PHS up 8-6.
Hobbton led 6-0 at halftime.
Jarrett Pearce and Nick Hare combined for 42 yards rushing on nine totes. Overall, Princeton rushed for a season-high 243 yards on 49 carries, including nearly 200 yards in the second half.
The Bulldogs (1-5 overall, 1-1 CC) travel to Spring Creek next Friday.
