JK leads the all-time series 27-7 since 1963.

North Duplin (2-5 overall, 0-2 CC) returns home Friday to face Rosewood. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at H.E. Grubbs Field.

* HOLLYWOOD CROSSROADS -- D.H. Conley exploded for 31 second-half points and cruised past Charles B. Aycock, 59-21, on the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference scene Friday evening.

Golden Falcons quarterback Jake Flowers threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns -- a pair of scoring receptions to Chandler Matthews. In his last two games, Matthews has hauled in five TD passes and amassed 283 yards.

The Golden Falcons (3-4 overall, 1-1 ECC) return home Friday to face South Central, which endured a 30-0 loss to defending 4-A state champion New Bern.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Hardy Talton Stadium.

J.H. Rose 57, Southern Wayne 6

* GREENVILLE -- Quarterback Quentin Carlton accounted for Southern Wayne's lone touchdown in a 57-6 loss to Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe J.H. Rose on Friday evening.

Carlton scored on a 2-yard scamper in the fourth quarter. He copleted three passes -- all to Manny Walker for 68 yards.

The Rampants' defense held the Saints to 110 yards of total offense.

"As a team we came out flat and Rose took advantage," Saints head coach David Lee said. "They had numerous big plays in the first quarter and we fell behind by a wide margin. After halftime, I thought our kids came out with a better approach and were a lot more aggressive. It showed on offense and defense.

"We know that we can play better than our showing tonight, so we will put this one behind us and get ready for a good D.H. Conley team next week."

Southern Wayne (0-7 overall, 0-3 ECC) entertains the ECC co-leading Vikings (5-2, 2-0) on Friday. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at the Doyle Whitfield Athletic Complex.
