Hawks top Cougars in ECC 2A soccer

La GRANGE -- North Lenoir built a three-goal advantage by halftime and eased past Goldsboro, 5-2, in an Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference game contested Thursday evening.
Ruben Quiroz and Chris Pate each scored for the Cougars.
Goldsboro keeper Chandler Patrick posted five saves.
The Cougars (6-7-0 overall) suffered their first ECC loss in three outings this season.
