BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Julie Loennechen emerged as the individual champion during the rain-shortened King University Women's Invitational.
Rain cancelled Tuesday's play in the 36-hole event.
Loennechen shot an opening-round 1-under-par 70 on Tuesday.
"I felt really good on that one because I got it to land exactly where I wanted to land it," said Loennechen, who held a four-stroke advantage over Pfeiffer's Cristina del Diego.
"I was pretty happy that it was six feet instead of it being off the green. It felt a little weird because i thought we were going to play today. It feels good since I finally played good on this course since I have never played well here, so I feel pretty good.
"I made a lot of putts which was nice because I hit a lot of good shots and took advantage of them."
Paula Guridi shot a 79 and tied for 11th. Julia Kaeding carded an 80 and tied for 14th. Anne Barboteau shot an 84 and tied for 23rd.
UMO shot 313 as a team and finished 11 strokes behind Pfeiffer.
