Rosewood's Burton earns medalist honors at GMGC

Lindsey Burton shot a 3-over-par 39 and earned medalist honors during a three-team meet played on the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course links Thursday afternoon.
Aycock won the team portion with a three-player total of 142. Rosewood finished second at 151, followed by Goldsboro with a 166.
The Golden Falcons' Abby Sauls claimed second individually with a 42. The Eagles' Shamayah Revis carded a 49. Aycock's Anna Williams (50) and Leah Campbell (50) took fourth and fifth, respectively.
Goldsboro's Rylie Hales (53) and Ashley Smith (54) wound up sixth and seventh, respectively. The Golden Falcons' Savannah Strickland (57), Goldsboro's Tracy Smith (59) and CBA's Samantha Castorena (60) completed the top 10.
The Cougars Scarlett Casey (62) and the Golden Falcons (Nicole Prince) recorded scores of 62 and 63, respectively.
