Southern Wayne earned its second win of the season with a 25-15, 25-22, 27-25 decision over Southern Nash on Wednesday afternoon.
"A great team win with some real heart shown in the third set to not give up on the win," first-year SW head coach Sarah Robertson said. "(We had) strong serving runs from Amber Pfenning to lead us off in the first and third sets. Freshman Kya Hunter did a great job of stepping into the middle and had some kills on smart attacks.
"Freshman libero Malia McKay led a great defensive game from the back row."
The Saints improved to 2-11 overall.
