HOLLYWOOD CROSSROADS -- Chris Grieve scored the game-winning goal as Charles B. Aycock knocked off short-handed D.H. Conley, 3-2, in their Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference match Tuesday evening.
Conley led 2-0 at halftime, but lost a player due to a red card.
Dallen Edwards pulled the Golden Falcons to within a single goal and teammate Coe Jordan notched the equalizer.
Grieve added the game-deciding shot, which gave Aycock its first-ever win over the Vikings in five ECC meetings.
Edwards and Zach Zacharzuk each had one assist.
CBA keepers Skylar Landers and Kosuke Maruyama combined for eight saves in goal.
The Golden Falcons (10-1-2 overall, 1-0-1 ECC) play host to South Central on Thursday. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at Hardy Talton Stadium.
