ROCKY MOUNT -- Ben Cohen punched in a hat trick (three goals) during Wayne Country Day's 4-1, non-conference conquest of Faith Christian Academy on Monday afternoon.
Kris Cooley supplied one goal.
Jacob Magera, Charlie Roethling, Matt Kierski and Hunter Bryson passed out one assist apiece.
"We scored early, but we played slow and took time to get in the game properly," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We had to shift a few players around to get into the game although never really under pressure. We dominated without playing particularly well. It was a positive result and good start to the week."
The Chargers (12-1-1 overall) visit archrival Greenfield on Friday.
