Hobbton escapes North Duplin in PK shootout

CALYPSO -- Hobbton won a penalty-kick shootout 5-4 against North Duplin after the teams battled to a 3-3, double-overtime draw in Carolina 1-A Conference play Monday afternoon.
Wilber Velasquez, Luis Velasquez, Danny Castenada and Juan Garcia each connected on shootout goals for the Rebels. Dario Castenada, Garcia and Wilber Velasquez each scored in either regulation or overtime.
ND goalie Luis Martinez recorded 10 saves.
The Rebels (6-3-0 overall, 2-2-0 CC) visits Princeton on Wednesday.
