Wayne Country Day dominates Oakwood in girls' tennis

Wayne Country Day posted six shutouts in nine contested matches and handed The Oakwood School a 9-0, non-conference defeat on Thursday afternoon.
Gianna Democko, Jennifer Potts, Ally Willman and Langley Barnes did not lose a game in their respective singles match. Eliza Eagles triumphed at No. 4 singles, while Margaux Pope dropped just one game at No. 5 singles.
Democko-Eagles, Potts-Willman and Pope-Aimee Barnes completed the sweep in doubles.
The Chargers (4-0) visit North Raleigh Christian next Tuesday.
