WILSON -- Pikeville Green plated five runs during the final three innings and turned back Wilson Christian, 6-3, in an Eastern Carolina Baseball League tilt Monday evening.

Bradley Pate cranked out an RBI single in the fifth inning. Chandler Gentry provided his lone hit -- a two-run base knock in the sixth. Cameron Kornegay capped the late-inning offensive outburst with a two-run double in the seventh.

Landon Casey also provided a hit.

Charlie King emerged as the winning pitcher. He permitted three earned runs on five hits, walked two and retired eight Wilson Christian batters on strikeouts. Kornegay tossed one inning of two-strikeout relief to earn the save.

Pikeville Green returns to action today at Wayne Country Day. First pitch is 5 p.m.
