Hunter Burt smashed a game-winning, walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Wayne Country Day knocked off Pikeville Green, 6-5, in an Eastern Carolina Baseball League game Tuesday.
Burt ended the day with two hits and three RBI.
Boone Moody contributed two hits, including a two-run homer. Mitch Turnage doubled with an RBI.
WCDS used four pitchers -- John Strickland, Ethan Chapin, Amane Godo and Moody. Strickland lasted just two-thirds of an inning before Chapin took over and hurled 4 1/3 innings of five-hit, four-strikeout relief.
Godo threw the sixth.
Moody earned the save with one inning of one-hit, one-strikeout relief.
Wayne Country Day (12-6 overall) entertains Bethel Christian for a doubleheader on Thursday. It's the regular-season ECBL finale for both teams.
