* PIKEVILLE -- Kyle Davis and Zach Brewer combined for a five-inning shutout during Pikeville Green's 12-0, mercy-rule conquest of North Lenoir Green in Eastern Carolina Baseball League action Friday.
Davis permitted two hits and retired four North Lenoir batters on strikeouts. Brewer delivered two innings of no-hit, two-strikeout relief. Neither pitcher walked a batter.
Landon Casey (two RBI), Chris Turner and Tyrie Artis paced Pikeville Green's offense with two hits apiece. Turner cranked out a double.
Caleb Smith (RBI), Davis (two RBI) and Caleb Matthews contributed one extra-base hit -- a double -- during the five-inning affair.
Pikeville Green returns home Monday to face Eastern Wayne. First 6 p.m. at Charles Davis Field.
