3A golf -- CBA's Sauls completes solid freshman season

SOUTHERN PINES -- Charles B. Aycock freshman Abby Sauls finished among the top 70 golfers upon conclusion of the NCHSAA Class 3-A state championships at Longleaf Golf and Country Club.
Sauls shot a 36-hole total of 207.
Cardinal Gibbons emerged as the team champion with a 473-491 victory over Waxhawn Marvin Ridge.
