WHISPERING PINES -- Rosewood senior Nick Adams concluded his high school career with a 6-over par 150 during the two-day NCHSAA 1-A men's state golf championships contested at Whispering Pines Country Club.
Adams, who took a two-stroke penalty for playing the wrong ball, helped lead the Eagles to an eighth-place finish in the 12-team field. Jeremy Mercer and Dylan Champion each shot 36-hole rounds of 193, while Dylan Greene logged a two-day total of 202.
Taylor Britt and Alex Brogden also participated for RHS.
"A tough two days, but I'm glad the kids got the experience," said Eagles head coach Daniel Baynes, who announced he will not return to coach the team next spring.
