Pate tosses 3-hitter in Rebels' playoff-opening win

CAMDEN -- Trey Pate allowed just three hits on the mound as North Duplin eeked out a 4-1 win over Camden County in the first round of NCHSAA 1-A playoffs.
Blake Rhodes scored twice for the Rebels and Ced Kornegay had two hits and an RBI. He also scored a run.
North Duplin will take on the winner of tonight's game between East Carteret and Lejune in the second round.
