Grace Christian girls knock out WCDS in NCISAA 1A playoffs

SANFORD -- Wayne Country Day's season ended Tuesday evening with a 2-0 loss to Grace Christian of Sanford in the elite eight round of the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A playoffs.
The Chargers scored an "own" goal eight minutes before halftime and could never get back to even. Early in the second half Grace Christian scored its second goal off of a free kick.
WCDS finished the year 9-4-3 overall.
