Gators collect program-record 18th win

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Allen Coor had three hits and three RBI to lead Spring Creek past South Creek 5-3 in the first round of the NCHSAA 1-A playoffs on Tuesday evening.
It was the school-record 18th win for the Gators and the sixth straight year Spring Creek won its opening-round playoff game.
Matt Rogers drove in the other two runs in his two-hit outing. Sawyer Smith and Logan Miller also had hits for Spring Creek.
Miller, Chad Spurgeon and Will Rouse combined on he mound to hold South Creek to six hits and two earned runs. They struck out eight batters combined.
