Hayes logs 11 strikeouts, Saints trip up Jacksonville, 1-0

JACKSONVILLE -- Jackson Hayes scattered two hits in a complete-game effort during Southern Wayne's 1-0, opening-round upset of Jacksonville in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A playoffs Tuesday evening.
Hayes logged 11 strikeouts on the mound.
Josh Jernigan contributed two hits and an RBI for the Saints, who improved to 8-17 overall this season.
