Preps digest: JV, middle schools

JV sports
* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 6, North Lenoir 4 -- A five-run third inning led the Golden Falcons to a 6-4 victory over North Lenoir Wednesday evening. Chandler Matthews, Caleb Smith, Cameron Kornegay and Chris Turner each had two hits apiece for C.B. Aycock. Jacob Sanford registered the win on the mound. Bryce Anders came on in the seventh for the save.
Middle schools
* Girls' soccer: Greenwood 5, Rosewood 0 -- Madison Tallarida buried four goals for Greenwood on its way to a 5-0 shutout win over Rosewood. Claire Molloy scored the fifth goal. Molloy and Alana Kazar both notched assists. Greenwood plays host to Dillard today.
