Rouse shuts door for Aycock

SNOW HILL -- Ben Rouse shut the door and Charles B. Aycock escaped Greene Central, 9-8, on Thursday evening.
The Golden Falcons built a nine-run advantage through 4 1/2 innings before the Rams responded with a seven-run fifth inning. Rouse earned the save behind Kyle Davis, who claimed the mound win in relief.
Bobby Hampton led the way for C.B. Aycock's offense with two hits and three RBI. Freshman Ashton McGee also two hits and drove in one run. Tim Naughton added two hits and Hank Smitherman had one hit and an RBI.
C.B. Aycock (7-6 overall) visits New Bern today.
