Trojans ease past Francis Marion

FLORENCE, S.C. -- Bradon Reitano stroked a three-run homer during a fourth-run, sixth-inning outburst as the University of Mount Olive handed Francis Marion an 11-6, non-conference loss on Tuesday afternoon.
The Trojans (25-11 overall) improved to 4-0 on their current nine-game road swing that includes a weekend series at Conference Carolinas archrival Barton. The teams play a single game Friday and a doubleheader Saturday at Nixon Field.
Reitano concluded the day 3-for-6 with four RBI. Jay Gonzalez added three hits, an RBI and scored three runs. Rob Shipman, DeAndre Allen and Zak Orrison provided two hits apiece.
UMO had 15 hits for the game.
Jordy Farthing scattered seven hits and logged five strikeouts in a seven-inning stint. The Campbell University transfer improved to 4-0 on the bump this season.
Brody McDonald and Deshorn Lake, an East Carolina transfer, combined for three innings of three-hit, two-strikeout relief.
