Unbeaten Eastern Wayne girls pick up 2nd ECC win

WINTERVILLE -- Eastern Wayne improved to 2-0 in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play with a 58-48 win at South Central on Tuesday evening.
Jasmine Covington scored 15 points for the Warriors. Elondia Grant contributed 14 points and Tianna Christopher had 13 points. Shontel Monk added nine points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists. Naheria Hamilton pulled down 10 rebounds.
Eastern Wayne (3-0 overall, 2-0 ECC) entertains New Bern on Thursday.
