Rosewood opened the Carolina 1-A Conference portion of its schedule with a 78-28 rout of Hobbton on Tuesday evening.
The Eagles' Lexi Mercer scored 23 points in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 37 points. Krystal Yelverton supplied 12 points and Alicia Burns added 10 points.
"I thought we got off to a good start," Rosewood head coach Rick Grantham said. "We got a chance to play some girls who work hard in practice and they got some important playing time. I thought it was paramount for us to start off conference play this way."
The Eagles (6-1 overall) play host to James Kenan on Thursday.
