Hilltop girls defeat Conquerors

Faith Christian climbed to within two possessions early in the second half, but Hilltop Christian pulled away for a 34-21 victory on the N.C. Christian Schools Association 2-A scene Monday evening.
Hannah Stocks' consecutive layups off turnovers pulled the Conquerors to within 22-16 early in the second half. The Chargers answered with a game-ending 12-5 run.
Stocks and Meredith Skinner knocked down eight points apiece for Faith Christian. Teammates Jordan Lawhon and Alexis Cozine contributed three points and two points, respectively.
The Conquerors return to action Jan. 7 at Trinity Christian-Greenville.
