SEVEN SPRINGS -- No. 1-ranked James Kenan concluded regular-season play unbeaten and captured the Carolina 1-A Conference championship outright with a 63-0 victory over Spring Creek on Friday evening.
The Tigers rushed for 358 yards and seven touchdowns. Ja'Quan Williams led the attack with 116 yards and two TDs on seven carries. Marcelias Sutton contributed 86 yards and two touchdowns.
Ken Avent III provided two rushing touchdowns.
James Kenan quarterback Dominique Barnes rushed for one touchdown and threw a 47-yard scoring strike to Antonio Smith.
The Tigers (10-0 overall, 6-0 CC) are off Friday, while the Gators (3-7, 2-3) entertain North Duplin in the regular-season finale for both teams.

* GREENVILLE -- Southern Wayne built an early lead, but couldn't maintain its momentum in a 46-12 loss at Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference opponent J.H. Rose on Friday evening.
The Saints stopped the Rampants on fourth down in red-zone territory on the game's first possession. Southern Wayne's offense moved the length of the field and scored on Marquise Baldwin's 6-yard TD run.
Rose returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown and added a touchdown pass just before halftime.
Brion Kornegay led the Saints with 102 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Baldwin added 77 yards on 16 carries.
Southern Wayne (2-8 overall, 0-5 ECC) plays host to archrival Eastern Wayne on Friday.
