Gators' Coor places 25th in state 1A cross country meet

KERNERSVILLE -- A quartet of Carolina 1-A Conference competitors finished among the top 70 during their respective meets in the season-ending N.C. High School Athletic Association cross country championships on Saturday.
Spring Creek junior Allen Coor crossed the finish line 25th overall in 17 minutes, 45 seconds during the boys' 5k session at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex. Rosewood sophomore Dalton Farmer was 46th in 18:07, while Spring Creek senior Gage Abbott ended up 70th in 19:01.
Rosewood senior Ashley Duran, in her second state championship appearance, took 41st place in 22:03 during the girls' race later in the day.
