Mooneyham leads C.B. Aycock in 3A cross country regional

BATTLEBORO -- Joseph Mooneyham captured 59th place individually in the NCHSAA Class 3-A eastern regional meet contested at Red Oak Middle School.
Mooneyham turned in a time of 18:44.
Eastern Wayne's Josh Bartz and Tim Cooper crossed the line in 74th and 80th place, respectively. Southern Wayne's Anthony Womble was 81st overall.
The Warriors' Cristela Rochell finished 67th overall with a time of 22:48 in the girls' race. Teammate Morgan Exum was 70th, while Aycock's MacKenzie Stewart took 97th.
Dixie Ramirez was Southern Wayne's lone competitor.
