MURFREESBORO -- Sophomore Ellie Barnes recorded her first-ever collegiate hat trick (three goals) during Mount Olive's 7-0 thrashing of in-state women's soccer foe Chowan University on Monday afternoon.
Barnes scored in the 4th, 54th and 76h minutes.
Alex Wetherholt supplied two goals and one assist. Jaclyn Thomas collected one goal and one assist, while Damilia Brooks punched in a goal.
MOC goalies Stephanie McCoy and Carolin Edenhofner combined for two saves and the shutout between the pipes.
The Trojans (5-10-2 overall) conclude regular-season play Saturday at King (Tenn.) College.
