Roethling's PK lifts Chargers on the road

FAYETTEVILLE -- Charlie Roethling scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick and Wayne Country Day slipped past Freedom Christian 4-3 in a Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference outing Tuesday afternoon.
Freedom Christian entered the game unbeaten in three games this season.
Jacob Magera, Ramel Carpenter and Noah Adkins each scored for the Chargers.
Wayne Country Day (6-6-1 overall, 4-2-0 CPIC) visits Greenfield on Friday.
