JV sports
* Volleyball: North Lenoir d. Goldsboro 25-12, 25-12 -- Mary Dunn paced the Cougars with three aces.
* Soccer: Freedom Christian d. Wayne Country Day 4-0 -- The Chargers travel to Greenfield on Friday.
Middle schools
* Boys' soccer -- Spring Creek 3, Norwayne 2 -- Gustavo Avalos scored two goals for the Gators, while teammate Andres Amaya provided one goal. Spring Creek travels to Dillard on Thursday.
