MOC volleyball sweeps Barton

MOUNT OLIVE -- Senior Adam Miracle pounded out a match-high 14 kills and Mount Olive College concluded regular-season play with a 25-16, 25-19, 25-14 triumph over Conference Carolinas men's volleyball foe Barton on Tuesday evening.
Angel Dache provided 10 kills. Tim Ebbecke contributed six blocks and a career-high four service aces for the Trojans, who finished conference play with a 15-1 worksheet.
Alex Rivero added nine kills, while Lewis Einarson had five kills and no errors on seven attempts. Setter Ben Casado narrowly missed his first collegiate double-double with 37 assists and a career-high nine digs. Dan Arnold led all players with 11 digs for the Trojans.
Mount Olive (22-5 overall) returns to action Apr. 10 in semifinal-round play of the 2013 Conference Carolinas tournament. The top-seeded Trojans earned home-court advantage after winning their third regular-season title in the league's four-year history.
